Chicago Community COVID-19 Response Fund

Supporting local nonprofit organizations serving our region’s most vulnerable neighbors

The region's health and human service organizations are experiencing a surge in demand for services from neighbors and communities significantly impacted by the coronavirus outbreak.

It’s critical that these organizations have the resources they need to continue to operate at the highest capacity. Your donation will support the agencies that are ensuring our neighbors can access basic needs in this time of crisis.

About the Chicago Community COVID-19 Response Fund

In collaboration with the City of Chicago, The Chicago Community Trust and United Way of Metro Chicago launched the Chicago Community COVID-19 Response Fund to unite the funds raised by Chicago’s philanthropies, corporations and individuals to be disbursed to nonprofit organizations across the region.

As we are individually taking steps to protect our own families, workplaces and neighborhoods from the effects of the virus, let’s not forget the impact this will have on our neighbors. Missing paychecks, the inability to pay rent, and a lack of access to food and essential supplies are realities that many in our region will have to face in the coming weeks. Please join us in supporting our neighbors across the City of Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.

The goal of Illinois COVID-19 Response Fund (ICRF) is to support all of Illinois, especially regions that are not supported by the Chicago Community COVID-19 Response Fund (CCRF) or other relief mechanisms. It is created to work in tandem with other funds around the state. ICRF works closely with CCRF and conceivably could allocate some funds in the Chicago / collar county area if the Steering Committee identifies needs not otherwise being met. However, the majority will be spent across the state.
